The Brand Development team’s mission is to enable the best of brands on Instagram. Instagram is seeking a Brand Development Lead to work with brands and agencies who want to advertise on Instagram. As Instagram builds its business, we’ve put our community first every step of the way. And since introducing ads last November in the U.S., we’ve worked with a handful of top brands to draw creative inspiration from the community and create ads that were engaging and felt natural in people’s feeds. We are now ready to extend the same level of care and consideration as we introduce ads on Instagram to our global community. The Brand Development Lead, in partnership with local and regional sales leaders, is tasked with building, strengthening and providing ongoing support for key relationships with brands and their agencies, both creative and media. The role has three main purposes: (1) establishing best-in-class Instagram presences for brands who are not utilizing Instagram and improving the content and presence of brands already on Instagram through creative consultation, (2) driving success for brands by creating strategies and account plans that align with their key business metrics and KPIs, resulting in strong pipelines, and (3) driving adoption of Instagram’s paid opportunities by the brands and agencies the Lead works with. Success in this position requires a background in creative strategy, art direction or photography, strong consultative and analytical skills, a dedication to client service, an understanding of brand objectives and media buying & planning, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment delivering against tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage the liaison between brand partners, account teams, agencies and the internal Instagram team

With the sales team, lead meetings with brands and agencies with prepared examples and presentation materials, contributing guidance and recommendations and managing follow-up and on-going correspondence

Become an expert in best practices and examples of how brands are using Instagram and adapt recommendations to suit specific brand needs

With vertical sales leaders, develop plans for strong pipelines for key accounts

Support new partners through launch process and liaise with Instagram product and technical support

Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics across initiatives and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance

Demonstrate the value of Instagram’s paid products in light of other media channels in the market

Build strategies on Instagram that align with a specific brand’s key business metrics and KPIs

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent

12+ years’ experience in advertising and media planning

Experience in non-digital ATL media particularly print (Outdoor, TV) as well as a strong understanding of both mobile a digital marketing or senior leadership experience in a creative or strategy agency

Excellent communicator and strong presentation & keynote speaking skills in front of large scale audiences

Senior level agency and client relationships across EMEA and within international teams

Proven and consistent track record of executing and delivering/exceeding against an aggressive growth strategy

Appreciation & passion for creativity, ideally from a creative background

Ability to influence, develop, and empower people to achieve objectives with a cross-functional team approach

Deep passion, knowledge and understanding of the Instagram product

Frequent pan regional travel to be in market with internal teams and clients is part of this role

French is essential
